Even as the world becomes increasingly awash in monolithic technological advances, the human spirit of the mysterious and mystic still endures as a vestige and a portent. I call my work “Modern Mysticism” and express it in my paintings, prints, photography, and assemblage pieces. It’s a studied-yet-sympathetic synthesis of the contrary aspects of tech, technical skill, artistic passion, and visionary vistas into a unified whole that is simultaneously iconic, resonant, and entrancingly elusive. Using found objects (whether concrete or abstract) as well as tangible media, I incorporate them into my creations as I seek to honor the mystical through modern media.
