Favors: 3" birds nest with Robin's Egg Blue Jordan Almonds. Jordan almonds represent the bitter and the sweet of marriage. "for mine is the choice of Lúthien, and as she so have I chosen, both the sweet and the bitter" Making Them: I purchased 3" nests from www.burlapcreations.com for 39 cents a piece. I thought they were too flat, so I bought 3" grapevine wreaths from Michael's at 19 cents a piece. I hot-glued them onto the nests and voila! Perfect mini nests.

Cookie Table Decorations: For all those who do not live in NE Ohio or Western PA, here is a bit of explaination. It's pretty obvious (a table filled with cookies, all homemade by the families of the parties involved.) It's a big deal. Opinion of the wedding often hinges on the magnifigance of the cookie table. (Well, it may not be that influential, but comments regarding it's size and quality are ALWAYS heard.) Gigantic cookie tables have been known to go down in history. Cookies will be placed on silver trays that I've collected over the years.
